After countless hours of playing Mass Effect 2, it can be quite a hassle to have to constantly look up the solution to a certain part of the game. In fact, it is so annoying I often just skip the puzzle altogether. It doesn’t help that I had to do this for my Mass Effect 3 playthrough. Anyway, I recently decided to do a little research on Mass Effect 3, since I had been curious about some of the lore for quite a while. In particular I wanted to know more about the “Memory Core” puzzle. As it turns out, this was not a game-related puzzle, but a puzzle-related answer.

The Mass Effect Memory Core Puzzle was a side mission in Mass Effect 3. It is a puzzle consisting of nine lights that are randomly placed through the level that the player must light to complete the mission. The puzzle can be completed in any order, but there are certain items the player has to use to complete it.

Mass Effect fans are still patiently waiting for the sequel to the award-winning sci-fi trilogy, but could something as simple as a puzzle-solving game be able to make up for it? With the release of new Mass Effect 3 DLC The Citadel, the Cerberus team is back in action to help Commander Shepard fight the Reapers once again. This time around, though, fans are taking on an even more daunting task: solving a round of memory-based puzzles that highlight the various upgrades Shepard has made to his ME3 character as he progresses through the game.

If you solved the Mass Effect Noveria task, you’ve probably also encountered the Mass EffectMemory Core puzzle. It’s a boring puzzle game where Shepard has to move various crates to get Mira VI and continue the mission. The easiest way around this is to spend 100 omni gel and be done with it, but unless you’re an engineer or a scout, you’re better off saving that omni gel for other containers and locks later. Lucky for you, our solution to the Mass Effect memory core puzzle has the right answer, so you don’t have to break your own data cells.
