The NBA All-Star game is always full of surprises. There are always last-minute replacements, players that get injured and some players that just don’t make it. In this post, I will take a look at some of these snubs that would be worthy of an All-Star selection.

Remember when the NBA All-Star Game used to be fun? When players were chosen for their skills, not their popularity, and when the game came before politics? The league is clearly trying to recapture some of that old magic by adding several players who didn’t make the cut to the All-Star Game. After all, fans always respond to the human-interest stories of guys on the bubble. And with the addition of five new players, the All-Star Game will now have a new twist this year: the all-snub team. (Who’s the all-snub team? You’ll have to read on for that!)

The NBA All-Star Game’s all-snub team has many members. In fact, you could build two complete five-man rosters with guys who got the shaft and did not make it into this year’s All-Star Game. But we’re not going to do that here, because that would be a lot of work. Instead we’ll just pick the team we would have been most excited about watching perform.

The NBA All-Star Game is a celebration of the season with the league’s best players and usually takes place during the holidays. It’s a time when fans can forget about their team’s ups and downs and focus on watching good basketball – even if it’s not always competitive! However, there are still a lot of places, so someone has to drop out. This is our NBA All-Star Game team.

Center – Marcus Camby, 2006-07

It didn’t take long for Marcus Camby to establish himself as one of the most solid centers in the league. He was named NBA Defensive Player of the Year in 2007, but has yet to play in the All-Star Game. During his career, Camby was a key player on the Knicks, Nuggets and Clippers teams. His excellent defensive play could have earned a spot on the All-Stars, but fans want to see points and defensive players often go unnoticed.

Force attacker – Dirk Nowitzki, 2000-01

In 2000, the legendary Dallas Mavericks forward was just starting to play in the NBA, but that didn’t stop him from coddling many players. Nowitzki averaged 21.8 PPG and 9.2 rebounds per game, establishing himself as one of the most efficient players in the league. Over the next decade, he became an important part of the All-Star Game, but many feel he should have been in the game in the 2000-01 season. word-image-7667

Small-time attacker – Corey Maggette, 2004-05

Small forward Corey Maggette never made it to the All-Star Game, but he probably deserved it based on his form in 2004-05. At the time, he was hot for the Clippers and became a consistent 15+ point scorer. This guy could jump and was dangerous from the free throw line and from anywhere on the court. He had the best season of his career in the 04-05 season, but injuries ended his NBA career shortly thereafter.

Shooting Guard – Ron Harper, 1988-89

You can pick any season of Ron Harper and say he deserved to be in the All-Star Game. The shooting guard won five NBA championships, but those five rings weren’t enough to get him into the game. In the 1988-89 season, he couldn’t miss and had a .511 field goal percentage, along with 5.3 assists per game and 18.6 PPG.

Point Guard – Rod Strickland, 1997-98

Rod Strickland has yet to play in any All-Star game, despite being one of the best players in the league. He was a threat in the paint, could take the ball away from you if you hesitated for even a second, and wasn’t afraid to pass to his teammates. Despite a 10.5 assists per game and a respectable 17.8 PPG, Strickland could not impress in the 1997-98 season. We corrected ourselves and merged them into our special cuddle team. The NBA All-Star game rosters are announced, and the only players to make it in from the Eastern Conference are Paul George, Kemba Walker and DeMar DeRozan. Those players are all very talented and deserving of the honor, but there are a handful of players, all from the Eastern Conference, that didn’t get a single vote. We’ve compiled the best of that bunch and made the all-snub team.. Read more about all-star snub meaning and let us know what you think.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who missed all-star game?

The NBA All-Star game is a fun way to honor the best players in the league, but of course, there are always players worthy of a spot who are left off the list. There are many snubs from this year’s rosters, but here’s a quick look at the biggest. The NBA All-Star game is a yearly event that allows the best players in the league to showcase their talents before heading back to their respective teams. The stars always put on a good show, but there’s at least one player who ends up missing out on all the fun. Whether it’s a result of injury, a trade, or simply not being selected, players who have been snubbed from the All-Star Game in the past include greats like Michael Jordan and Wilt Chamberlain.

Is Devin Booker an All-Star for 2021?

In a season of ups and downs, the biggest up of all came recently when the Suns’ Devin Booker was named the Western Conference Rookie of the Month for January. The honor is by far the biggest of Booker’s young career, and no one was more thrilled than the 20-year-old guard himself. “I’m just glad to be playing well,” Booker said. “This is a big confidence boost for me and my teammates. I’m hoping that I can keep it going now, but it’s a testament to the work I’ve put in this summer, in the gym and with my teammates.” It’s hard to remember a time when the NBA wasn’t dominated by talent from the Class of 2015, which in turn is hard to remember a time when there weren’t any teens in the league at all. (Seriously, you try to remember and then tell me how far you got.) But, on the off chance that this is your first day here on planet Earth and you don’t know what I’m talking about, here’s a quick primer: in 2022, the league passed a rule that made it illegal to draft anyone out of high school.

Who made the All-Star team 2021?

Kobe is making his 13th All-Star team in 2021, but this year he’s only the second-oldest player on the squad (LeBron James is on his 14th). That’s because the 2021 NBA season will be the first for players born in the year 2000 — think the next-generation of rookie sensations like Lonzo Ball and Ben Simmons. But even those young breakout stars have some stiff competition for Rookie of the Year. This year’s NBA All-Star reserves were announced this week, and as is often the case, there are some big snubs. The most notable is Houston Rockets point guard James Harden, who is not an All-Star for the first time since 2015. The Rockets have the best record in the league and lead the NBA in scoring, but Harden missed the cut in favor of Victor Oladipo (who was named the replacement for injured Pelicans forward Anthony Davis).
