There are numerous football players that have claimed to have seen UFOs. One of the most notable is Aaron Rodgers, who has said he believes aliens exist and were probably on earth in some form or fashion for thousands of years. Experts say more players might come forward with claims after looking into their own experiences with what they believe to be extraterrestrial lifeforms.

What better day to address the unusual amount of NFL players who claim to have seen UFOs than Halloween NFL Sunday? Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers, Baker Mayfield of the Cleveland Browns, and Jonathan Taylor of the Indianapolis Colts all claim to have had near brushes with the supernatural in their life. These are their own narratives.

Aaron Rodgers isn’t only the NFL’s reigning MVP. He’s also the MVP of UFO sightings. In interviews with various sites, the rambunctious quarterback has recounted his near call on multiple times.
On a March 2016 edition of the You Made It Weird with Pete Holmes podcast, he first discussed his alien encounter.
Rodgers informed Holmes that the extraordinary experience occurred in 2005 on a beach in New Jersey. “A huge orange, left-to-right-moving thing,” the former Cal-Berkley quarterback recalled the item he and a former college teammate saw in the sky that night.
Because there was a lot of cloud cover that night, the signal-caller and his companion couldn’t be sure what they were seeing. The sound of fighter planes heard only seconds later, according to the QB, verified their suspicions:
If you know anything about UFO sightings or have done any study, you know that they are often linked to two things: The existence of fighter planes to pursue them is one of them. Two, there have been several sightings around nuclear power facilities. We heard the alert from 30 kilometers away. There was an alert that went off at a nuclear power facility.

While Rodgers seems to no longer be interested in delving into the intricacies of the incident — he declined to reveal the complete tale on a recent edition of the Pat McAfee Show — he still believes he saw a UFO that fateful night in New Jersey.

Almost a hundred percent, On our way home from supper, Em and I observed a UFO plummet out of the sky… We came to a halt and exchanged glances, asking whether one of us had seen it… A dazzling ball of light seems to be falling straight from the sky into Lake Travis. Is there anybody else who has seen this?

Aaron Rodgers isn’t the first NFL quarterback who claims to have seen an extraterrestrial craft. Baker Mayfield was also added to the list.
On March 3, 2021, Mayfield tweeted that he and his wife were “Almost 100 percent” confident they witnessed a UFO in the Texas sky on their way home from supper. He, too, would go on to narrate the meeting in interviews, much like Rodgers. In an interview with Kevin Clark of The Ringer’s Slow News Day video series, he said:
It was late, I was driving home after dinner with my wife, the music was playing, it was dark outside, and all I saw was a flawless white/gold circle — like a ball — descending straight down and disappearing very rapidly. I’ve seen comets and shooting stars, but this wasn’t one of them. It’s much larger. There was nothing in its wake. It was only the circle itself that was collapsing…. I’m certain that was a UFO.

Whether or not Mayfield witnessed an unidentified flying object, he was chastised in the media and on Twitter for his claim. Colin Cowherd, the host of a sports talk program, had maybe the funniest take on the issue.
“Joe Montana, Troy Aikman, Terry Bradshaw, and Tom Brady have never seen aliens,” the outspoken FS1 presenter remarked of Mayfield, an NFL player he often idolizes. I’d rather my men didn’t discuss it.”
Near Area 51, Jonathan Taylor saw what ‘had to be’ a UFO.
Quarterbacks don’t have a full monopoly on UFO sightings. Jonathan Taylor, a running back, recently related his own story of bolts of light shooting over the sky.
During an interview on the Pat McAfee Show, Taylor said that one of his favorite pastimes is “watching space documentaries or YouTube movies” in his spare time. The idea of outer space triggered a lightbulb moment for the presenter, who had just recently discussed Aaron Rodgers and UFOs.
“OK,” McAfee said to Taylor. So, have you ever seen an alien? UFO? “Have you ever seen an extraterrestrial craft?”
Taylor said, “I have.”
This enraged the host, who demanded that Taylor describe the incident, which Taylor did:
I genuinely — I’m not sure whether that was truly the first time or not. I’m not certain. Maybe it was only because I had seen a tiny bit of stuff previously, and you know how your mind can play tricks on you. But it had to be for the most part. This happened, and it’s weird because it happened in Arizona, which makes sense. … I don’t tell too many people that because, like I said, I’m not sure, but certain things you simply haven’t seen before and you’re like, “Man, that’s something.”

Rodgers isn’t playing on Halloween since he was on Thursday Night Football this week. However, it seems like Mayfield will play against the Pittsburgh Steelers despite his damaged shoulder, and we’ll see a lot of Taylor against the Tennessee Titans.
It would be worth keeping an eye on these two come Halloween to see if they receive any additional aid from their alien pals.
