Aaron Rodgers, quarterback of the Green Bay Packers since 2008 and Super Bowl champion in 2011-2012, is planning to leave the team at some point during free agency. After a disappointing 2017 season where they missed the playoffs for only their second time out of the last decade, many are wondering what his next destination might be.

Aaron Rodgers’ next team needs to be in the AFC. The Green Bay Packers quarterback has had a rough season so far, with the Packers sitting at 4-6 and Rodgers throwing for less than 300 yards per game. Read more in detail here: aaron rodgers 2022 team odds.

Aaron Rodgers' Next Team Needs to Be in the AFC

Aaron Rodgers, while having a terrific regular season that will almost certainly earn him an MVP award, failed to live up to the expectations when the stakes were highest. During the NFC Divisional Round, the long-time Green Bay Packers quarterback could only produce 10 points against the San Francisco 49ers, eventually losing the game.

The Packers were eliminated from the playoffs this year, and conjecture about Rodgers’ future in the league is already rife. In 2022, the majority of Packers supporters want him back. Rodgers, on the other hand, may choose a different path.

This offseason, Aaron Rodgers will look for a new home.

This offseason, Rodgers and the Packers’ executive management had a heated back-and-forth. Rodgers was allegedly unhappy with the Packers’ decision to pick QB Jordan Love in 2020, and the Packers were unclear how much longer Rodgers could continue to be an excellent thrower.

During the regular season, Rodgers rapidly disproved all of his critics. He threw for 4,115 yards and 37 touchdowns in his career. His performances, however, were not without criticism. His immunization status was a major source of contention for the Green Bay Packers’ front management.

In the end, Rodgers bears a large portion of the responsibility for the Packers’ poor performance in 2021. His inherent skill wasn’t enough to beat a powerful 49ers defense, as good as he was throughout the regular season. That isn’t to say Rodgers will leap at the chance to accept responsibility.

If anything, he’ll blame his club’s front management for the defeat as he begins his quest for a new team to play for. Rodgers’ post-game statements portray a picture of a man who is fascinated by the prospect of abandoning ship.

Aaron Rodgers should consider switching to the AFC.

After winning Super Bowl MVP in 2010, Aaron Rodgers had one outstanding postseason. With the exception of that year, he has been a subpar postseason quarterback. Great throughout the regular season, but not so much in the postseason.

With the possibility of a Rodgers exit looming in Green Bay, the obvious question on everyone’s mind is where will he go? What role should he take up next? Almost every NFL club could benefit from having a quarterback of Rodgers’ talent. Only a few teams, though, have the personnel to give a second Super Bowl to the future Hall of Famer.

Rodgers has to reduce his search time in half right now. He’ll have to limit himself to AFC clubs. Why? To put it frankly, the NFC hasn’t been nice to Rodgers since his lone Super Bowl victory in 2010.

In fact, since 2010, Rodgers has a losing record in the playoffs. In January, it looks that #12 will need to compete against a new group of opponents.

The majority of the AFC’s leading contenders already have quarterbacks. However, a few teams would be prudent to inquire about Rodgers’ availability over the summer.

The three clubs that make the most sense are the Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns, and Denver Broncos. All three teams have excellent defenses but a subpar quarterback at the helm. Rodgers, without a doubt, fixes the issue.

Switching to the AFC isn’t going to cure all of Rodgers’ problems. He’ll be up against Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, and Justin Herbert on a regular basis. However, it’s evident that the NFC thing isn’t working out for him any more. He’s in desperate need of a change of scenery.
