The Pittsburgh Steelers player was criticized for the new rules, which he said would be in place next season. But experts say there’s no real evidence of an increase in brain trauma among children playing contact football before age 12.

The “baylee marie roethlisberger age” is that the kids of Ben Roethlisberger are not allowed to play contact football until their fifth grade.

Roethlisberger, Ben, dubbed “Big Ben” by many NFL fans and fantasy football owners, is a spouse and father of three children in addition to being the quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers. While combining football and parenthood takes a lot of effort, Roethlisberger has had one solid rule for years: his children will not be permitted to play contact football until they are in fifth grade.

Ben Roethlisberger and his wife Ashley Harlan have three children.

Roethlisberger is married to Ashley Harlan, a Pennsylvania native. Harlan’s brother, a die-hard Steelers supporter, introduced her to Roethlisberger during a training camp in 2005. Harlan and Roethlisberger struck it off right away and dated for years before marrying on July 23, 2011.

They had two boys and a daughter after that. Benjamin Todd, their eldest child, was born in 2012; Baylee Marie, their daughter, was born in 2014; and Bodie, their youngest child, was born in 2016.

Roethlisberger seemed to enjoy every aspect of fatherhood. And he has no qualms about defending his three children and doing what is best for them in any circumstance.

Paternal protectiveness also sets in for the NFL record holder and potential Hall of Fame entrant when it comes to football. Roethlisberger has said that his children will not be allowed to play tackle football until they reach fifth grade. Until then, his kids will have to make do with flag football, two-hand touch, or a quick game of frozen tag.

Roethlisberger told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, “There are no pads out here, we’re not tackling, we’re not striking.” “We’re learning the fundamentals,” says the narrator. Football, in my opinion, becomes a safer game if you grasp the basics. In terms of full contact striking, I believe the game of football is often played too early. I’ve heard of second and third graders participating in full-contact football, but that’s much too young.” He went on to say:

I believe that the basics of football should be taught early on, including how to correctly tackle, hit, pass, and catch. When kids learn those skills early on, they’ll be more prepared when football becomes what it’s meant to be.

His children motivated him to complete his college education.

Roethlisberger attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, for his collegiate football career. He was a starter and is regarded as the school’s all-time finest quarterback in football history. He was a starter for three years in a row and entered the NFL draft in his last year of eligibility. It was a wise decision, as the Pittsburgh Steelers selected him first overall in the draft. The rest is pure NFL gold.

While playing football was and continues to be Roethlisberger’s first goal, he also made it a point to get his bachelor’s degree at the age of 30. He was a few credits shy of finishing due to his early entry into the draft, but he was able to finish his degree in between earning Super Bowl rings and appearing in several Pro Bowls.

He received his undergraduate degree in the subject of teaching in May of 2012, and he made his parents, wife, and himself pleased. “How could I explain to my children the value of education if I didn’t have one?” At the moment, Roethlisberger explained. “This is a really important occasion for me.” I’m pleased to be more than an alumnus. I’m now a graduate.”
