The so-called Amityville Horror, as the story is popularly known, has captivated audiences with its tale of a family that moves into a secluded Pennsylvania farmhouse only to find that it’s the site of a horrific act of murder.
Blacktail: A Tale of a Dog is a legend about a dog deliberately trained to kill a man. The legend is intertwined with the history of a famous painting by Goya, La Cabeza de Vaca, which is in the collection of the Museo del Prado in Madrid, Spain.

Blacktail is the first game from the brand new studio The Parasight, which started as a development group within the Bloober team, developers of games like The Medium, Observerand Layers of Fear. Blacktail puts the player in Baba Yaga’s pointy black hat and boots. As the infamous witch, you’ll hunt for living memories and play into the origins of the classic Slavic myth. You will search these memories for clues to your future and learn the truth about the mystery of your children’s recent disappearance.
. The announcement trailer for Blacktail shows some of the expected first-person gameplay, with Yaga combining her bow with magical abilities. According to The Parasight, the game will also involve difficult choices throughout the story, where players can decide to rewrite what we know about Baba Yaga or stay true to the lore. You can be the keeper of the forest or the horror we heard about as children, but it’s up to you. The press release for the event talks about the visual inspiration for the gameBlacktail, which balances realism with narrative environments. The gameBlacktail will be released this winter for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It can be ordered on Steam.
