Dark Pictures: House of Ashes is a first-person psychological horror adventure game in the vein of Amnesia: The Dark Descent and Resident Evil 4. The game casts you as a journalist who, after a sudden death, wakes up in a hospital without any memories of her past. It’s up to you uncover the secrets of her past and her current predicament.
Dark Pictures: House of Ashes (DPA) is a well-received, and rather difficult, styled action game from French studio Alientrap Games, and a new trailer has been released, and it’s just a short eight-minute playthrough of one of the game’s levels. As usual, the campaign is designed to be hard, and of course, this doesn’t come as any great surprise.
Following last week’s trailer, Supermassive Games has revealed eight full minutes of gameplay from its upcoming gameDark Pictures:. House of Ash. House of Ashesis the final game in theDark Picturesanthology and the third of eight planned games for the franchise. This game transports players to Iraq in 2003, where a group of soldiers are stuck on both sides of a firefight in a Sumerian temple. Without knowing each other, but also without knowing us, they unwittingly awakened an ancient evil. The gameplay is marked as a work in progress, so it’s likely that the graphics and other aspects you see here will be different when the game is fully released. Even without this latest tweak, it already feels like Supermassive is going all out on the next-gen hardware. You can check out the eight minutes of gameplay below.
. The gameplay trailer shows what the beginning of the story looks like. The focus is on the soldiers and how they are trapped in the temple. The gameplay contains some truly horrifying moments, including the soldiers fighting against the evil that lurks. It’s also the most intense and action-packed opening scene in the Dark Pictures series, with a large-scale fight that makes the ground crumble beneath their feet. Dark images: GameHouse of Ashesis still scheduled for a 2021 release, though today’s gameplay did not include an update on the official release date. When the game comes out, fans will be able to compete on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
