The team didn’t seem too happy about this decision, so it led to off-field problems were two players got arrested for allegedly assaulting each other outside of a club over the weekend when Aaron Rodgers was visiting them during bye week practice.

The Green Bay Packers approached the 2022 offseason with a number of unanswered questions. One of them was whether or not Davante Adams will be on the club.
It seemed like the band might reunite when Aaron Rodgers chose to return to the team rather than retire or seek a trade. While that may still be the case, it will not be as simple as 1,2,3.
According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, Adams has informed the Packers front office that he refuses to play under the franchise tag in 2022.
“Sources say the parties are still far apart on a long-term contract,” Rapoport stated. “Everything is coming to a head. There needs to be a compromise.”
Adams would earn almost $20 million if he were to play under the franchise tag in 2022. He clearly feels he is entitled to more, which might generate severe issues for the front desk.

Given the circumstances, creating enough financial space to offer Davante Adams the deal he wants while fielding a Super Bowl contender in 2022 might be challenging.
