Lamar Jackson is a Heisman Trophy winner, the leader of the most explosive offense in college football history, and has been called one of the best players in the NFL. But what does he do when not on the field?
The where is lamar jackson from is a question that has been asked for years. Lamar Jackson was born in Miami, Florida and attended Miami Northwestern High School.
Davante Adams is widely regarded as one of the best wide receivers in the league. Depending on who you ask, you might argue that he is now the league’s undisputed best player.
The Green Bay Packers’ top wideout is coming off a fantastic 2020 season in which he had 115 receptions for 1,374 yards. Adams also has the most receiving touchdowns (18) in the NFL. The Packers were unable to go to the Super Bowl in the end (thanks to Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers). Adams, on the other hand, was named a First-Team All-Pro and a Pro Bowler despite this.
Davante Adams gets his ideas from an unexpected source.
Adams is a skilled route runner who specializes at separating himself from the pack. You’d think he’d look up to other great route runners like Keenan Allen or Antonio Brown for motivation. However, according to the Packers’ long-time WR1, he is studying a certain quarterback in order to enhance his on-field performance.
“Before the game, I probably watched around 25 minutes of Lamar Jackson highlights. That’s also not a joke. When it comes to attempting to enhance his YAC (yards after the catch) skills, Adams is dead serious.
While it may come as a surprise to learn that Adams is studying Jackson in order to improve his game, can you really blame him? In the wide field, Jackson is a real threat. He repeatedly demonstrates that he is almost difficult to bring down.
Starting with a Jackson film study makes sense if Adams wants to improve his YAC skill.
Davante Adams is in it for the money.
For Adams and the Packers, 2021 is a pivotal year. Not only is the clock running on Green Bay’s title hopes, but Adams is set to get a sizable bonus at the conclusion of the season.
His current four-year, $58 million contract expires at the conclusion of the season, and it’s expected that he’ll radically reshape the wide receiver market. DeAndre Hopkins has the highest WR deal in the NFL, at $27.5 million per year (Over The Cap).
Don’t be shocked if Adams’ impending contract blows over that barrier.
For what it’s worth, there’s no certainty that Green Bay will be the team to hand up such a large sum to Adams. The two parties were unable to reach an agreement over the offseason, and it’s worth noting that if the Packers miss the playoffs again in 2021, they may contemplate rebuilding.

Aaron Rodgers is, of course, one of the main reasons a rebuild may be in the cards in Green Bay.
All summer, the future Hall of Fame quarterback has been unhappy with the Packers’ executive staff, a drama that is now affecting the rest of the club. Green Bay’s humiliating Week 1 defeat to the New Orleans Saints may be ascribed in large part to Rodgers’ lack of concentration.
Meanwhile, Adams will continue to work on his game, drawing inspiration from Lamar Jackson. He’s not only attempting to will the Packers to a great season, but he’s also attempting to grab a bag.
