We all know the stories: the pretty girl in the bar that the drunk guy kept trying to talk to, the loud-mouth at the party who keeps joking about death. Every time you tackle one of these types of people, you feel like you’re doing something, but in the end, you feel a bit empty. Why do we engage in these situations in the first place? Why do we keep engaging in activities that give us a hard time?

A few weeks ago, I took a trip to Chicago with the NFL, which made for a great experience. I got to see several NFL teams, meet some of the players and coaches, and see the city. Although I don’t watch a whole lot of NFL football, I always make an effort to go to any games, because it’s great to see the players out and about and interacting with fans.

In one of the most shocking endings of the NBA playoffs, Giannis Antokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks lost to Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets 114-108 in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference semifinals. Many viewers admired Durant’s play after seeing his performance, but also mocked what the Bucks did to lose the game – including NBA legend Charles Barkley. During his popular Inside the NBA show, Barkley revealed how disappointed he was with Milwaukee’s play after the team’s embarrassing loss. He didn’t hold back either.

Giannis Antokounmpo and the Bucs squander a 17-point lead against the Nets

. With Kyrie Irving not playing for the Nets and James Harden recovering from an injury, many expected the Bucks to win Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. They seemed to be ready for it too. Giannis Antitokounmpo looked like a powerhouse in the first half, hitting the basket with ease and scoring 17 points before halftime. Teammates Chris Middleton and Jrue Holiday also played well, adding 14 and 10 points respectively to give the Bucks a 59-43 halftime lead. Milwaukee led by as many as 17 points in the third quarter, but the Bucks finally collapsed in the period and Kevin Durant started to boil. The Nets got back to within six points at the end of the third period (87-81) before equalizing with nine minutes to play (91-91). At that point, Durant was a walking bucket and couldn’t miss. He finished with 49 points, grabbed 17 rebounds and handed out 10 assists to help the Nets to a 114-108 victory. While Durant had an impressive performance, Barkley was more disappointed with the Bucks’ play after the game.

Charles Barkley spoke out about the Bucks after their embarrassing loss in the NBA playoffs

June 2019. | Michael Kovacs/Getty Images for Turner Sports Barkley is never afraid to speak his mind, and the NBA legend had plenty to say after the Bucks’ Game 5 loss against the Nets. I had two great coaches in high school, when we played like crap from home, they didn’t stop at the fast food place on the way home, I didn’t feed their friends on the plane, Barkley told his co-hosts in Week 15. June episode of Inside the NBA. … It was an embarrassment to basketball to lose that game. At halftime it was clear that they would lose the game. Barkley continued: If you do stupid things and they work, you keep doing stupid things. If they did stupid things in the first and second game, you think: Well, that’s how they play it, Chuck. I am: Yeah, so what? They finish them off on offense, but they keep shooting three-pointers because that’s their way of playing. As Herm Edwards said: They play to win the game. It was one of the stupidest games of all time, and I’m so angry now because they have a bunch of really good guys, and they played stupid, and they deserved to lose that game. Barkley praised Durant and Jeff Green, who scored 27 points, but said the Bucks’ poor play also had something to do with the Nets’ win. The Hall of Fame man was clearly not happy with the Milwaukee game, and with good reason. The Bucks had a great chance to win and take a 3-2 lead in the series, but they squandered a 17-point lead and trailed 3-2. So, are we done with the Bucks?

Can the Milwaukee Bucks rebound?

. The biggest question about the rest of the series is the health of Irving and Harden respectively. While Irving missed his fifth game, playing for the first time since Game 1, he didn’t contribute much offensively, scoring just five points and converting 1 in 10 shots from the field. If none of them are able to play as usual, Durant will once again have to put on a performance like the one in Game 5, which will be hard to repeat. Given the Bucs’ habit of not living up to expectations in the playoffs, and after forfeiting a 17-point lead in Game 5, it’s possible they disappoint again and lose the series even if the Nets don’t have Irving or Harden in top form. The Bucks have a lot of talent and one of the best players in the world in Antetokounmpo, but if they don’t stop doing stupid things like Barkley said, they could lose again in the postseason. Game 6 could be the most important game of the season so far. Statistics provided by Basketball Reference COMPARED TO: Charles Barkley thinks LeBron James is the 4th.
