Thompson made his long-awaited comeback against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday night, after missing the previous two and a half years.
Although the five-time All-Star only played 20 minutes, he showed a remarkable burst in his stride and hints of his peak form before to his injury. Thompson finished with 17 points on 7-of-18 shooting, including 3-of-8 from outside the arc.

Klay Thompson’s comeback was all the Warriors had hoped for, and the star guard demonstrated that the wait had been well worth it.

However, when the star guard pushes his way completely into the fold, this is just the first stage. He must gradually increase the amount of labor he does. Thompson will play 15-20 minutes early on while being held out of back-to-back sets, according to head coach Steve Kerr.
