The Detroit Lions finally got their Super Bowl after a one-year wait. Matthew Stafford, the quarterback of that team, fulfilled the Rams’ request just in time for the anniversary. The game was on February 3rd, 2019 and it took about three hours to complete.
The “matthew stafford super bowl rings” is a story about Matthew Stafford, who fulfilled the Rams’ request to wear his Super Bowl ring on the day of the anniversary of their loss to New England.
After beating the San Francisco 49ers at SoFi Stadium on Sunday, the Los Angeles Rams have punched their ticket to Super Bowl LVI. The Rams won the NFC championship and advanced to the Super Bowl after wheeling and trading in the offseason. They beat the Arizona Cardinals, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and San Francisco 49ers.
The Rams’ journey involved a series of high-risk acquisitions, including Von Miller, Odell Beckham Jr., Sony Michel, and Matthew Stafford. Nonetheless, everything worked out, as Stafford delivered another outstanding effort to help the Rams reach the Super Bowl.
Even more stunning is the fact that Stafford was traded to the Rams from the Detroit Lions a year ago on January 30 — and LA secured the NFC virtually to the precise minute of the transaction.
Matthew Stafford’s deal comes with an incredible time stamp.
According to reports, the Detroit Lions are trading quarterback Matthew Stafford to the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for two future first-round selections, a third-round pick, and quarterback Jared Goff. In the first big NFL deal of 2021, two former No. 1 overall selections swap places.

The trade between the Lions and the Rams was disclosed by ESPN’s Adam Schefter on January 30, 2021. As they started their quest for an all-in push to the Super Bowl, LA made a number of trades to get Stafford.
Stafford took a knee at SoFi Stadium a year later, nearly to the minute, and the Rams’ fans and sideline erupted in a long-awaited jubilation.
The Rams were down 10 points heading into the fourth quarter, but Stafford came through when it mattered most, scoring 13 consecutive points to destroy the 49ers’ hopes.
Stafford threw for 337 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception on 31-45 passing for 337 yards, two scores, and an interception as he continues to shake off his postseason woes.
When the Rams completed the deal with the Lions exactly one year ago, they envisioned that last play, that final kneel, and that hug between Sean McVay and Stafford. After the game, Rams head coach Jeff Fisher expressed his emotions, demonstrating how much Stafford meant to him.
Stafford’s investment is paying off, and the Rams’ aggressive strategy has led them to the Super Bowl.
For the Rams, this was the all-or-nothing moment. It’s why, a year ago, they traded for Matthew Stafford. That’s why they made a deal for Von Miller just before the deadline. It’s why they signed OBJ when Cleveland cut him. The Rams took steps to reach the Super Bowl… and it was successful

Last summer, the Rams took a step back and devised a plan to return to the Super Bowl. It all began when Stafford was traded to the Lions in exchange for Jared Goff. It might even be said that it started before then, with the acquisition of Jalen Ramsey.
The proposal, however, came to fruition following the Stafford agreement. With the addition of a great quarterback, the Rams’ goal became crystal obvious.
Then they acquired Michel in a trade. After obtaining Miller in a deal with the Denver Broncos, the Rams managed to persuade Beckham to join them after being released by the Cleveland Browns.
The Rams’ boldness paid off, as they were able to punch their ticket to the Super Bowl – which they will play in their own stadium.
It was a team effort from start to finish, but Stafford’s acquisition shifted everything into high gear, and the quarterback delivered when it counted most.
The Rams have a chance to win Super Bowl LVI, but Joe Burrow and the Bengals will not be easy to beat.

For the Rams, their ambitions have become a reality. The plan came to fruition, and the relentless pursuit — which had been roundly chastised — paid off handsomely for Los Angeles.
At Super Bowl LVI, though, the Cincinnati Bengals and quarterback Joe Burrow stand in their way. As thrilled as the Rams are to claim the NFC West, winning the Super Bowl is why they made these changes — and everyone knows it, even McVay (h/t NFL.com’s Kevin Patra).
“We’ve got one more, and we know it’ll be a tough task.”

With a terrific effort from the whole squad and another game-winning field goal from Evan McPherson, the Bengals eliminated the Kansas City Chiefs’ aspirations at a third consecutive Super Bowl.
The Rams aren’t happy with merely making it to the Super Bowl – they want to win it all on February 13 and hoist the Lombardi Trophy.
After all, it was for this reason that they went all-in and lured Stafford to town.
