The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback, Carson Wentz, revealed his plan to retire after the 2019 season. The team’s next starting tight end is Dallas Goedert, who told reporters that he was actually a Cowboys fan growing up.

The “dallas goedert wife” is a story that talks about how the Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert revealed his dad was ironically a Cowboys fan. This made him feel bad because he couldn’t do that.

Dallas Goedert’s continuing rise has been a breath of fresh air for the Philadelphia Eagles. The fourth-year tight end is having the best season of his NFL career thus far. When Howie Roseman and the Eagles’ front staff selected Goedert, not everyone was ecstatic. His father grew up rooting for the Dallas Cowboys, which is a no-no with his son playing in Philadelphia.

The Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys are known for their animosity for one another. The players’ families are usually involved in their long-standing NFC East rivalry. Things were a little more tricky for Dallas Goedert.

The Eagles tight end discussed his father’s lengthy Cowboys fandom during a recent visit on The Rich Eisen Show.

“My father was a huge Cowboys supporter,” Goedert remarked. “He used to be enamored with them.” I was able to persuade him to become an Eagles supporter. It was difficult. But dad was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, and he named me after the team. He wanted me to support the Cowboys, but I couldn’t.”

His father named him after his loathed NFL East rival, which the South Dakota native recognizes is ironic.

Goedert said, “It rapidly became one of my favorite rivalries that I’ve ever had.” “Hearing shouts like ‘Dallas stinks,’ and stuff like that. It’s simply great to know that it’s my name. You’re quite sure they’re not booing you or anything. It’s a nice thing to have that moniker and that large of a rivalry.”

It’s unknown if Dallas Goedert’s father will secretly cheer for the Cowboys against the 49ers. However, he’ll almost certainly be rooting for the Eagles versus the reigning champion Buccaneers.

In 2021, the Eagles are giving supporters something to cheer about.

In their first season under new head coach Nick Sirianni, the Philadelphia Eagles have outperformed expectations. The former offensive coordinator of the Indianapolis Colts has put his club in a position that didn’t seem feasible coming into 2021.

The Eagles had a lot of unknowns going into the season, but they scraped and fought their way into the NFL playoffs. Philadelphia concluded the season with a 9-8 record, good enough for the NFC’s No. 7 seed. Despite the fact that the Dallas Cowboys won the NFC East, the Philadelphia Eagles achieved a lot in 2021.

Dallas Goedert and the rest of the team were unfortunate enough to be pitted against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card Round.

It’s no surprise that Tampa Bay is the favorite to win. The Eagles, on the other hand, will be confident in their prospects of winning the game.

Even if this is the team’s last game of the season, Philadelphia can rest certain that the franchise’s future is bright. Despite having multiple voids on the roster, the Eagles nevertheless reached the playoffs. That’s optimistic for the years ahead, especially in 2022 and beyond.

When the Philadelphia Eagles picked Dallas Goedert with the 49th overall selection in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft, he was a fan favorite.

In his first few seasons in Philadelphia, Goedert had a little amount of success. From 2018 to 2020, the South Dakota State product has 137 catches for 1,465 yards and 12 touchdowns. In 2021, he’s begun to shine even better, catching 56 catches for 830 yards and four touchdowns in 15 games.

The 27-year-old tight end set a new career best in yards per catch (14.8 yards per reception). Goedert has spent the most of his career with Zach Ertz, whom the Eagles traded earlier this season to the Arizona Cardinals.

Goedert discussed his friendship with Ertz and how he rose to become Philadelphia’s No. 1 tight end.

“It was a lot of fun,” he remarked. “I was able to learn a lot from him over my first three years with him and the start of this season.” My connection with him is fantastic. But, to be honest, chatting to Howie after the transfer occurred was incredibly thrilling for me.”

The team’s conviction in him as a player gave the 6-foot-5, 256-pound tight end a lot of confidence.

“It was a huge step forward in my profession,” Goedert said. “I want to be the man.” The organization’s trust in me to deal with Zach simply goes to demonstrate how much they value me. I went to work every day after that, proving to them that they had made the correct choice.”

As Jalen Hurts strives to establish himself as the franchise quarterback, Dallas Goedert’s continuous progress is a positive indication.
