Halle Berry was a contestant on the show “Survivor” when she was approached by Shaquille O’Neal, who asked her to marry him. She said yes and they married in 2007.
Many NBA players go on to become famous in their own right. LeBron James, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O’Neal, and a slew of other players have risen to prominence as celebrities throughout the years.
Their celebrity status, on the other hand, doesn’t stop them from being star-struck every now and again. In fact, while he was playing for the Los Angeles Lakers, one of the stars listed above, Shaquille O’Neal, requested a timeout just because he spotted Halle Berry in the audience.

Shaq spent eight of his 19 NBA seasons with the Lakers, so he got to play in front of a lot of celebrities. At the Staples Center, celebrities like as Jack Nicholson often sit courtside, putting further pressure on the sportsmen competing that night.
It served as incentive for O’Neal to perform well.
On the Sept. 22 edition of The Kelly Clarkson Show, he stated, “I wanted to offer the celebrities the same pleasure that they gave me.” “… They provide me with a lot of pleasure while I’m at home watching Netflix. So I’d always tell them, ‘OK, they’ve come to see me and Kobe win the title.’ ‘I have to make sure I’m constantly playing well.’
His “favorite moment” didn’t even happen in Los Angeles. It happened when I was in New York City.
Because he spotted Halle Berry, Shaquille O’Neal requested a timeout at the free-throw line.

Throughout his career, O’Neal appeared in a number of noteworthy games. He won four titles, so he’s probably still thinking about some of those playoff games.
A game in Madison Square Garden, on the other hand, became a cherished memory for him.
“I’m at the free-throw line, and I’m looking down the steps, and it’s Halle Berry,” O’Neal told Clarkson. “My heart began to flutter, and I became nervous.”
O’Neal, on the other hand, didn’t simply attempt to calm down and hit the free throw.
He signaled for a timeout.
“’What are you doing?’ Phil [Jackson] said. ‘Shut up, Halle Berry is coming to watch me,’ I said. ‘Make sure I grab the ball if nobody shoots,’ he replied. “I went out there and guess what? I made the free throw. I hit the free throw and [winked] at Halle as I did so.”
O’Neal was regarded as one of the worst free-throw shooters in history. Perhaps he would have performed better if Halle Berry had been there at every game? We’ll never know, but Shaq, like Berry, has become a celebrity in his own right.
Shaquille O’Neal has established himself as one of the most well-known athletes in the world.
Shaq’s accomplishments with six different teams, most notably the Los Angeles Lakers, Orlando Magic, and Miami Heat, made him as well-known as Halle Berry.
On the court, he was a huge success, garnering 15 All-Star choices and an MVP award, leading the league in scoring twice, and winning four titles and three Finals MVP awards. O’Neal also had a career average of 23.7 points and 10.9 rebounds, and his 28,596 total points put him 10th in NBA/ABA history.
However, the No. 1 overall selection in 1992 has become more than simply a basketball player. Shaq has a lot of accomplishments off the court, including his own film, Kazaam, a shoe line, and a role on TNT’s Inside the NBA.
Overall, O’Neal’s performance has helped him amass a net worth of $400 million.
While Halle Berry may have made Shaq’s heart skip a beat during his time with the Lakers, The Big Aristotle is sure to have made a lot of other people anxious as well. O’Neal is a pop culture phenomenon as well as an NBA great.
Basketball Reference provided the stats, while Celebrity Net Worth provided the net worth.
After winning his fifth NBA title, Kobe Bryant savagely trolled Shaquille O’Neal with a simple 6-word sentence.
