The Shin Megami Tensei series is a Persona game franchise developed and published by Atlus. The games span multiple genres, including action role-playing, visual novel simulation and roguelike dungeon crawling. Each installment in the series features distinct gameplay elements; for instance, Nocturne has turn-based combat while Strange Journey’s battle system incorporates real-time 3D movements with turn-based actions like attacking or using skills.

The “shin megami tensei v true ending guide” is a guide that will tell you how to get all of the endings in Shin Megami Tensei V. The guide includes information on how to get each ending and also tells you what happens after each ending.

If you’ve played prior Shin Megami Tensei games, you’ll notice that the endings are a little different in Shin Megami Tensei V. The secret ending is concealed behind a few missable side activities, including the game’s ultimate boss, and there is less signposting than normal. This guide will walk you through each SMT V ending and how to acquire it so you don’t have to scratch your head.

What is the total number of endings in SMT V?

Three of the four endings in SMT V are accessible on the initial gameplay. Unlike previous SMT games, the decisions you make during Nahobino’s journey have minimal bearing on whatever ending you receive, and you’re not locked in until you make the final decision.

When this option is made, there is no ambiguity. You’re actually asked how you want to change the world after defeating Metatron in the Temple of Eternity. The rest of the guide includes spoilers for the conclusion of Shin Megami Tensei V. Make a backup before the combat in case you change your mind.

Each ending has its own set of fusions and Miracles.

Ending of Shin Megami Tensei V: Law

SMT V doesn’t have readily defined ideas of law, chaos, or neutrality, as we highlighted in our review, but sticking with Abdiel is effectively the Law path.

Choose: I will obey God’s commandments.

  • This ushers in a new age of blind faith devoid of knowledge and self-awareness for mankind.
  • Rank Violation Miracle is unlocked, allowing you to fuse any demon regardless of rank.
  • Michael and Maria are now available for fusion.
  • The Compassionate Queen quest and The Seraph Returns quest may both be completed.
  • Michael will charge you 660,000 Macca to embark on The Seraph Returns quest if your decisions throughout the game did not accord with Abdiel.

End of SMT V Chaos

The Nahobino, in the aftermath of the mayhem, follow Prime Minister Koshimizu.

Choose: I’ll rescue Tokyo by remaking the globe.

  • Both gods and mortals are given the opportunity to choose their own destiny in this finale.
  • Allows you to change a demon’s beginning talents upon fusion using Inheritance Violation Miracle.
  • Inana and Belial are unlocked for fusion.
  • The Wrathful Queen and The Red Dragon’s Invitation quests are now available.
  • If your decisions throughout the game did not line with Koshimizu’s, Belial would charge you 660,000 Macca to complete the task.

Ending with a neutral tone

Given who you support, this isn’t your typical neutral conclusion. It’s also the poorest game in the series, with a less satisfying ending and no significant benefits to carry over into New Game+.

Choose one option: I shall overthrow the throne.

  • This binds the Nahobino to Nuwa, leaving mankind and gods to their own devices.
  • Danu is unlocked for fusion.
  • The Noble Queen side quest begins.

The Real Ending

The ultimate conclusion is SMT V’s hidden ending, which, like SMT 3, requires you to finish practically everything in the game before you can access it.

How can I get the secret ending of SMT V?

You must perform the following tasks:

  • The search of Amanozako
  • The questline of Fionn MacCumhaill
  • The quest of Khonsu
  • Ra’s Succession (Ra’s Succession)
  • Shiva’s mission

The Egyptian’s Fate, the first phase of Khonsu’s questline, requires you to select whether to murder or save Khonsu. If you don’t save Khonsu to unlock The Succession of Ra at the end of his questline, you’ll miss out on the genuine ending.

After you face Shiva in the tale, you’ll have to battle him as an optional boss. He’s Level 96 and the game’s most difficult opponent, so only bring your strongest squad. While New Game+ isn’t essential to get the actual ending, it helps make fighting with Shiva a little simpler since you have access to more powerful demons.

Continue as though you were going to accomplish the neutral ending and destroy the throne after that’s done. After the battle with Abdiel, Nuwa will emerge and offer you a new option: I will create a planet for humans alone.
