The Vikings lost their prized quarterback in the 2018 season opener, with no clear-cut replacement on the roster. Head coach Mike Zimmer has said he will stick to Case Keenum, but there is still a chance for Teddy Bridgewater and Sam Bradford to step up their game. Even if they don’t, it’s hard not to like what Cousins did when he was healthy…until now.,

The Minnesota Vikings suffered a complete devastating injury that kills Kirk Cousins’ chances of silencing the haters. The Vikings are now scrambling to find a new QB and it’s going to be difficult for them to do so. Read more in detail here: vikings qb 2017.

During Week 8, the Minnesota Vikings had a freebie lined up. They were coming off back-to-back victories and were closing in on the Dallas Cowboys, who were missing Dak Prescott at quarterback. It was against the Cowboys that the Vikings established themselves as real postseason contenders just before the trade deadline.

The unusual birth of one Cooper Rush, on the other hand, resulted in the polar opposite. On national television, the Vikings lost an eminently winnable game, allowing detractors to heap scorn on them.

Minnesota’s situation was made much worse by a catastrophic injury on defense. An injury that may easily eliminate them from contention for the playoffs.

DE with the Minnesota Vikings Danielle Hunter tore her pectoral muscle.

With a torn pec, Vikings coach Mike Zimmer has confirmed that pass rusher Danielle Hunter will miss the remainder of the season.

November 1, 2021 — Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet)

When healthy, Danielle Hunter is the Vikings’ greatest overall defender. In 2018 and 2019, he has 14.5 sacks and has always been a major contributor in terms of quarterback hits, tackles, and tackles for a loss.

Hunter was having a terrific comeback season after missing the whole 2020 season due to a neck injury. Through the first six weeks of the season, he has 6.0 sacks, six TFLs, and ten quarterback hits. Hunter was reintroduced to the national media after his three-sack effort against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 2.

Hunter’s incredible comeback season has unfortunately come to an end for both him and the Vikings. Hunter tore his pectoral muscle in the team’s Sunday night defeat to Dallas, and will miss the rest of the 2021 season as a result.

The Minnesota Vikings’ defensive line lacks depth.

When it comes to their defensive system, the Vikings depend heavily on Hunter. Minnesota has two key defensive ends to whom they assign responsibility: him and experienced pass-rusher Everson Griffen. After that, the depth isn’t really impressive.

The other defensive ends on the roster are D.J. Wonnum and Kenny Willekes. By any stretch of the imagination, none of them are household names.

The good news for the Vikings is that there is still time to deal for reinforcements. However, it’s realistic to criticize Minnesota’s decision to acquire before the deadline this year. They’re 3-4 and have just suffered a loss against Cooper Rush. This isn’t a squad that is only a few pieces away from competing.

Kirk Cousins is in big danger as a result of this.

When it comes to the Vikings’ multi-year mediocrity, Kirk Cousins gets the brunt of the blame. He’s always been thought of as a backup quarterback rather than someone worth constructing a team around.

Cousins, on the other hand, is really having a decent season. His passer rating has risen to 103.3, and his touchdown-to-interception ratio of 14-2 is now the highest in the NFL.

However, Cousins’ loss of Hunter on the defensive side of the ball just sets him and the Vikings up for another disappointingly ordinary season. Even if they make the playoffs as a Wild Card team, they won’t be able to go very far without their best pass-rusher.

Whether fair or unjust, Cousins will be chastised if the Vikings fail to make a deep playoff run this season, regardless of his performance at the conclusion of the season.

The “kirk cousins salary” is a football player that the Minnesota Vikings recently signed to a $84 million contract. The injury that he suffered, however, was so devastating that it killed his chances of silencing the haters.
