The NBA has a long and storied history, having been around for more than 100 years. And as the league celebrates its 100th anniversary, it is experiencing sustained growth from both sides of the court-on the hardwood and off. Exhibit A: LeBron James signed with Los Angeles Lakers after nine seasons in Cleveland, becoming just one player on a team that could feature four potential Hall of Famers next season.

The “ceedee lamb or justin jefferson draft” is a question that has been asked many times before. The two players are both great, but one of them will be drafted in the first round and the other will be taken later on.

The quarterbacks, coaches, or offense vs. defense are generally the focal points of a great NFL battle. The second-year wide outs CeeDee Lamb and Justin Jefferson will be the ones to watch when the Dallas Cowboys take on the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday Night Football in Week 8. These two are the finest of a deep 2020 wideout draft class, and they have the potential to be the league’s top two pass catchers for years to come.

CeeDee Lamb is the next great wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys.

It’s a huge thing to wear the No. 88 for the Dallas Cowboys. The number has appeared on the backs of some of the finest wide receivers in NFL history, not just Cowboys history.

Drew Pearson (1973-1983) and Michael Irvin (1988-1999), as well as All-Pro pass-catcher Dez Bryant, have all worn the No. 88 Dallas jersey (2010-2017). With these three wide receivers, this jersey has been selected to five All-Pro teams, made 11 Pro Bowls, and won four Super Bowl championships.

CeeDee Lamb was drafted No. 15 overall out of Oklahoma in 2020, and she took the No. 88 jersey and ran with it (both literally and figuratively).

Lamb made his presence known in Week 2 of his rookie season, catching six passes for 106 yards in a 40-39 victory against the Atlanta Falcons. Despite losing his superstar quarterback, Dak Prescott, in Week 5, the 6-foot-2 pass-catcher had a tremendous first season.

Lamb finished the season with a terrific stat line of 74 receptions for 935 yards and five touchdowns, while playing against Pro Bowler Amari Cooper.

Lamb is ready for an even more spectacular second season in 2021, with Prescott back and looking better than ever. He has 33 receptions for 497 yards and three touchdowns on the season, including the overtime game-winner against the New England Patriots in Week 6.

The Minnesota Vikings were able to make the Stefon Diggs deal work out because to Justin Jefferson.

Star Vikings receiver Stefon Diggs pouted his way through the 2019 season, fed up with his coach, quarterback, position in the offense, and who knows what else.

Minnesota traded Diggs to the Buffalo Bills in the 2020 offseason for a package of draft selections, including the No. 22 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Justin Jefferson, a former LSU Tigers wide receiver, was the choice.

During his first season, Jefferson wasted no time in attempting to make Vikings fans forget about Diggs.

Jefferson made his presence felt in a 31-30 shootout defeat to the Tennessee Titans in Week 3 after two relatively quiet games. He caught seven passes for 175 yards and a score as a rookie. That was the first of seven 100-yard games in his rookie NFL season, which earned him a Pro Bowl berth.

Despite the fact that Henry Ruggs III (No. 12), Jerry Jeudy (No. 15), CeeDee Lamb (No. 16), and Jalen Reagor (No. 21) were all selected ahead of him in the draft, the 6-foot-1 wideout had the greatest statistical year of the group.

Jefferson was the Vikings’ No. 1 wide receiver, catching 88 passes for 1,400 yards and seven touchdowns. In 2021, he’s off to a flying start once again. He’s caught 41 passes for 524 yards and three scores in six games.

CeeDee Lamb and Justin Jefferson in the same building is the grudge match to watch when the Dallas Cowboys visit the Minnesota Vikings in primetime on Sunday Night Football this week.

Jefferson told ESPN, “We’re both accomplishing some fantastic things.” “We’re both playmakers, and we’re both contributing significantly to our teams.” All we have to do now is keep moving forward. I’m looking forward to seeing him grow and achieve great things. Going up against him is going to be a terrific matchup.”

The battle should be spectacular based on skill alone. Only their own offensive circumstances will be able to stop these two explosive young players.

The problem for Lamb is that Prescott is doubtful for this game due to a calf injury he suffered in Week 6.

If Prescott is unable to play, Cooper Rush, a fourth-year undrafted free agent, will take over as the starting quarterback. Lamb’s productivity on Sunday Night might be severely limited if he is forced to play. He has one NFL completion on three career attempts.

On the other hand, all of Minnesota’s offensive weapons should be accessible, which is Jefferson’s issue. Kirk Cousins is the prototypical NFL quarterback. As a result, he’s prone to poor performances, especially when he’s in love with No. 2 wideout Adam Thielen.

In addition, head coach Mike Zimmer is a defensive and running backs coach. As a result, anticipate a lot of star running back Delvin Cook. It may be the Cook Show on Sunday night if the Cowboys’ defense can’t stop the run.

Despite all of these possibilities, Lamb and Jefferson are likely to have a say in the game’s conclusion. If that’s the case, it should be entertaining to see.
