The Boston Celtics have had a total of 11 NBA Finals appearances. What is the last time they made it to the finals?

The “boston celtics playoffs 2022” is a question that has been asked many times. The Boston Celtics have not won the NBA Finals since they last won in 2008.

At times, the Boston Celtics seem to be the greatest team in the NBA. Then there’s Game 1’s Celtics versus the Miami Heat, who are an erratic squad that often blows double-digit leads.

The Celtics have been constant over the previous six years, which is both good and terrible. Every year, they have made the playoffs. In that time, they’ve advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals four times. Unfortunately, they have never made it to the NBA Finals.

They got agonizingly near each time but fell short. In fact, it has been a long time since the Celtics have advanced to the championship round.

Is this the year when the Boston Celtics finally break through?

The Celtics have a good chance of reaching the NBA Finals. That is just meaningless. They’ve been in this situation before and seen it pass them by.

This time, the mood is a little different. With the exception of Game 1 against the Heat, the Celtics have avoided most of the bad luck so far this season. Before the start of the year, Boston was a very different club, with no expectations of reaching the conference final.

Marcus Smart chastised Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown for being selfish in November. Ime Udoka, the team’s first-year head coach, questioned the team’s work ethic on many occasions. The squad was out of rhythm, and they blew many second-half leads.

The Celtics didn’t get back on track until January. They haven’t looked back since, leading some to feel that this is their year.

The Celtics finished the regular season with a 26-6 record after going 25-25 through the first 50 games. They were seeded second and swept the Brooklyn Nets in the first round. In a seven-game series, they defeated the reigning champion Milwaukee Bucks. Only the Heat stand in their way of reaching the NBA Finals.

When was the Celtics’ last trip to the NBA Finals?

The Lakers came back from a fourth-quarter deficit to win their 16th title.

The Celtics have the most championship banners of any NBA club. Both Boston and the Los Angeles Lakers have won 17 titles. In 2020, the Lakers won their 17th championship. Since 2010, the Celtics haven’t even made it to the NBA Finals.

The Celtics last competed for a championship against the Lakers 12 years ago.

The series was decided in a Game 7 in Los Angeles. Boston was shorthanded, as Kendrick Perkins, who supplied the Celtics with a powerful inside presence, was hurt.

The Celtics got out to a fast start, leading 23-14 after one quarter, but the Lakers recovered late for their 16th title, winning 83-79.

Even though the Lakers failed to enter the playoffs, the Celtics have a chance to avenge themselves this season. The Celtics will break their tie with the Lakers and hoist Banner No. 18 if they can win seven more games.
