It hasn’t been a great season for the Cleveland Browns, but that doesn’t mean it’s not fun to watch. Quarterback Baker Mayfield has led the team on an incredible run in recent weeks as they try and make up ground on their divisional rivals in hopes of reaching postseason football once again. The quarterback is one of just eight players who have broken multiple records this season, with his overall stat line ranking him third all-time among quarterbacks playing fewer than 16 games when looking at yards per game passing rate (115.1), completion percentage (66%), touchdown passes (34) and passer rating (.627). While those may seem like numbers reserved for Hall of Famers such as Tom Brady or Peyton Manning, Mayfield still ranks eighth all time after only taking over halfway through the regular season. Even if he never leads another scoreless drive ever again–which would be stunningly unlucky–Mayfield will likely break many more records before his career concludes and take home some hardware from Canton someday soon.,

The “how many games has tom brady won” is a very difficult question to answer. Tom Brady’s postseason stats are incredible, but they don’t rank in the NFL’s regular-season record books.

Tom Brady is the most successful quarterback in NFL history, whether you like him or not. That isn’t a point of view. That is an undeniable truth. And we’re not just talking about Super Bowl triumphs, though he does have a seven-game winning streak. With five Super Bowl MVP awards, Charles Haley is in second place on the record, matching Brady’s total.

Brady also has almost all of the major NFL passing records. The three-time NFL MVP has passed for 84,520 yards in 318 regular-season games with the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, slightly over 4,000 yards more than the second-place quarterback, Drew Brees.

Brady has passed for 624 touchdowns in 318 games. Brees is also in second place on that list, with 571 yards. Furthermore, the 15-time Pro Bowler holds the NFL marks for games started (316), regular-season victories (243), and pass completions (7,263). In addition, the six-time All-Pro has the most game-winning drives (67) and fourth-quarter comebacks (44) in both the regular season and playoffs (51).

That’s probably my greatest chance to talk about Brady’s playoff accomplishments, so I’ll take it. Brady also has the great majority of NFL postseason passing records, as you would expect. So I though I’d have some fun and check where his postseason numbers stand among the major regular-season lists.

Where would Tom Brady’s postseason achievements rank in the regular-season record books in the NFL?

Nobody should be surprised that Tom Brady has played in 47 playoff games, more than any other player in NFL history, not only quarterbacks. Of course, it includes his Super Bowl record of ten appearances. Adam Vinatieri, a former Patriots teammate, ranks second on the record with 32 postseason games played. That’s three less wins than TB12 had in the playoffs, where he’s 35-12 in 47 games.

Brady is the all-time leader in both passing yards (1,049) and passing touchdowns (13,049) in the playoffs (86). And we’re talking about a lot of space here. Peyton Manning, who passed for 7,339 yards in 27 games, ranks second on the record most postseason passing yards. With 45 touchdown passes, Joe Montana and Aaron Rodgers are tied for second most postseason touchdown passes. As I have said, we’re talking about huge margins and records that are unlikely to be broken.

Now it’s time to have some fun. On the regular-season record lists, where would Tom Brady’s postseason stats rank? His 13,049 throwing yards would place him 171st in the nation, just behind fellow Michigan Wolverine Chad Henne, who has passed for 13,290 yards in 75 regular-season games.

Brady is tied for 160th in throwing touchdowns with Mark Sanchez, Marc Wilson, and Doug Flutie with 86. Nick Foles, who has thrown 82 touchdown passes in 68 regular-season games, is now ranked 165th. Folks, that’s another another Super Bowl MVP.

Now, 171st and 160th may not seem to be very outstanding. However, when you consider that over 720 different quarterbacks have started in the NFL, things seem a lot better. And that includes merely the Super Bowl era. As a result, the true figure is significantly higher.

Brady’s career has been nothing short of spectacular, and this is just another illustration of that.
